Senior Engine Developer

We are in search of someone who is as passionate about games as we are to help build the next generation of games for our company. 
 
As a Senior Engine Developer, you will collaborate with and support various disciplines on the team by building and extending core engine systems and tools within Unreal Engine. You will play an integral part in guiding architectural decisions, reviewing feature implementations, establishing project workflows and maintaining the game’s stability and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop systems, enhancements and optimizations in UE5.
  • Write and maintain iterative, thoughtful and well-documented code.
  • Profile and optimize the game throughout its development.
  • Research solutions to problems on all facets of game development.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers on architecture discussions and code reviews.
  • Coordinate with other departments on requirements and specifications.
  • Stay on top of new features and releases for UE5.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
  • At least 5 years of game development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 4/5 and C++.
  • Well-versed in design patterns and software engineering principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaborative development skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation and resourcefulness in all areas of engineering.
  • Genuine passion for making and playing video games.
  • Resident of Ontario, Canada, or willingness to relocate to Ontario.
Nice To Haves
  • Shipped one or more video game titles.
  • Console development experience.
  • Network programming experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaborative development skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Genuine passion for making and playing video games.
